YOUNG ADULT LEADERS TO HOLD UNACCOMPANIED YOUTH HOMELESSNESS ADVOCACY DAY AT THE STATE HOUSE ON OCTOBER 29th
In partnership with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, the young adult leaders of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) of the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance (MHSA) will hold an Unaccompanied Youth Homelessness Advocacy Day at the Massachusetts State House on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Legislators and state leaders will be invited to listen to young adults as they share stories of their personal experiences with homelessness and their perspectives about what must be done to end youth homelessness. Youth and advocates also will share updates on current state initiatives to address youth homelessness. The event will be hosted by Representative Jim O’Day, Senate Majority Leader Harriette Chandler, Representative Kay Khan, and Senator Jason Lewis.

WHEN: Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM
WHO: Young adults from MHSA’s LDP, joined by staff from MHSA and the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless
