MILTON COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO HOLD NOVEMBER 14th CUT-A-THON TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HOMELESS VETERANS
Funds raised will support City of Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s Boston Homes for the Brave Initiative
The Boston Homes for the Brave Initiative is hosting a special fundraising event, Boston Homes for the Brave Cut-a-Thon, on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Mackie’s Barber Shop in Milton, MA. The Cut-a-Thon has been organized by Milton residents Kenneth & Sharon Pariser and Milton businesswoman Marianne “Mackie” Colligan, proud parents of two members of the United States Armed Forces. Through event sponsorships, donations, contributions from merchants in the Town of Milton, and proceeds from every haircut during the event, the Cut-a-Thon will help raise critical funds to support ending veteran homelessness in Boston.
Last year, City of Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh joined First Lady Michelle Obama’s national mayoral challenge to eliminate veteran homelessness by the end of 2015. The initiative, Boston Homes for the Brave, has helped over 700 homeless veterans since it began. One hundred percent of all proceeds from Boston Homes for the Brave Cut-a-Thon will go directly towards helping homeless veterans move into housing.
WHERE: Mackie’s Barber Shop, 20 Central Ave, Milton, MA
