The announcement was made on March 20, 2018 in Philadelphia at the 18th annual Population Health Colloquium. The Hearst Health Prize, in partnership with Jefferson College of Population Health, is given in recognition of an individual’s or organization’s outstanding achievement in managing or improving health in the U.S. The award was presented by Gregory Dorn, MD, MPH, president of Hearst Health, and David B. Nash, MD, MBA, dean of the Jefferson College of Population Health.
“All of us at the Massachusetts Housing & Shelter Alliance see this award as validating the growing belief that a truly integrated healthcare system must include appropriate, supportive, safe and affordable housing,” said Joe Finn, MHSA’s President & Executive Director.
