On Sunday, April 2, 2016, Social Action Massachusetts (SAM), a program of the Massachusetts Housing & Shelter Alliance (MHSA), hosted clergy members, lay leaders and students for the workshop Ending Homelessness in Our Communities at Church of the Covenant in Boston.
The workshop explored ways communities of faith and ethical commitment could take action to end homelessness. The event featured speakers from the City of Boston Department of Neighborhood Development, Eliot Community Human Services, the New England Center and Home for Veterans and MHSA, including the MHSA Speakers’ Bureau. Over 40 people attended the workshop from a variety of communities and organizations and engaged in thoughtful conversations around the issue of homelessness.
Special thanks to Panera Bread for donating refreshments for the event!
