MHSA membership includes nearly 100 community-based organizations across Massachusetts dedicated to a common mission: ending homelessness.
We began in 1988 as a small group of homeless shelter providers in Greater Boston who knew that truly ending homelessness would require strategic vision, collaboration and commitment to long-term solutions. That small group of providers has since evolved into a statewide alliance of members working together to introduce new innovations and address the larger, systemic issues contributing to homelessness.
From permanent housing, transitional programs and emergency shelter to street outreach, health care and much more, MHSA member agencies are on the front lines providing housing and services that make a difference in the lives of thousands of people every day.
With our focus on advocacy and securing resources for evidence-based programs and policies, MHSA amplifies the voices of individual member agencies, ensuring their on-the-ground expertise informs policy discussions at the local, state and federal levels.
