The Housing Quality Inspector will be responsible for all families to be accommodated in safe and sanitary units according to the HQS regulations from HUD and DHCD. The individual in this role will be responsible for the following: completing inspections and re-inspections, in accordance with HUD Housing Quality Standards, DHCD guidelines and CTI Housing Department policies; completing all forms required for an inspection; assessing the rent reasonableness of subsidized units based on their size, condition, amenities and location in comparison with similar units on the private market; maintaining and updating rent reasonable files as needed in accordance to HUD’s HQS requirements by using Go Sec 8; and properly adhering to HUD’s, SEMAP rules and indicators.
