MASSACHUSETTS HOUSING AND SHELTER ALLIANCE (MHSA) RECOGNIZES
JAY CASHMAN AT 14TH ANNUAL SPRING FUNDRAISING EVENT

This event will raise funds in support of ending homelessness in Massachusetts

BOSTON – The Massachusetts Housing & Shelter Alliance (MHSA) will honor Jay Cashman of Jay Cashman, Inc. with the Bob Ray Partnership Award at MHSA’s 14th Annual Spring Fundraising Event, Home for Good: Solutions Start Here. The event will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Boston.

“We believe that homelessness can be solved by bringing outcome-based programs and permanent housing solutions to scale,” explained MHSA President & Executive Director Joe Finn. “We are grateful for all who support this event and share our commitment to ensuring that everyone has a place to call home.”

The evening will feature an award presentation with a cocktail reception serving hearty hors d’oeuvres. The event will also include a silent auction and raffle prizes, where guests can bid on a weekend getaway to Martha’s Vineyard or win tickets to see the Boston Red Sox from behind home plate. Ronan Tynan of The Irish Tenors will give a special live performance. Approximately 300 attendees, including members of the nonprofit, public and corporate sectors, are expected at the event.

MHSA is a nonprofit policy advocacy organization dedicated to ending homelessness through innovative program development. Along with government, private sector partners and nearly 100 member agencies statewide, MHSA provides and promotes sustainable solutions to homelessness.

Through funds raised at this event, MHSA will continue working to expand housing opportunities for individuals struggling to survive on the streets and in shelters—and continue working to end homelessness in the Commonwealth.

Media interested in attending the event are encouraged to RSVP to Tess Carenbauer at tcarenbauer@mhsa.net or 617-367-6447 x17. All media should check in at registration upon arrival at the event. For more information about the event, please visit www.mhsa.net/HFG17.
